GA. They had twelve children - 7 in GA, and 5 after they moved to Lafayette Co. MS. They suffered many hardships during the Civil War, including the loss of one son in battle and another being held as a POW. Many of their children moved West to Texas and California after the War. Susan died in 1875 and is buried in Shiloh Baptist Cem. John remarried 31 May 1877 in Lafayette Co. to Fanny Joy. Together they had a daughter, Maude Adeline in 1879. John's will was probated in July 1887 and finally settled in 1992.
