Diana Livingston was born on May 6, 1811, in Cornwall, New York, her father, Nehemiah, was 43, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 41. She married David Ellsworth on November 22, 1823. They had two children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on November 15, 1843, in Nauvoo, Illinois, at the age of 32, and was buried there.
