Biography

John was born about 1800. He was the son of Thomas Livingston and Nancy Chiles. John S. Livingston was appointed clerk of the county court in Mobile County, Alabama on 27 August 1823. Taliaferro Livingston appointed his beloved brother John S. Livingston one of the executors of his will on 14 February 1823. John passed away in 1825.

His father, Thomas Livingston's will was written on 9 Jul 1809 in Abbeville District in South Carolina. His will stated that his three younger sons: John Livingston, James Livingston and Madison Livingston be kept at school until they reached the age of sixteen years, then they must be bound out to a respectable trade.
