Biography

"Dictionary of Canadian Biography, Volume III (1741-1770): 'LIÉNARD DE BEAUJEU, LOUIS, officer in the colonial regular troops; b. in Paris, France, 16 April 1683... Three sons survived him: the scholarly Louis-Joseph, the officer Daniel-Hyacinthe-Marie, and Louis Liénard de Beaujeu de Villemomble, the last French commandant at Michilimackinac, who distinguished himself during the American revolution.'"
