Research Notes

Parents of Daniel Richard Lewallen were married in 1669 in "Henrico, Virginia", according to an Ancestry record that noted birth in 1657 in Charles City, Virginia.[6]

Residence 1830, Anderson, Tennessee, USA.[2] - not sure why this record was included amongst the ones for Daniel born c1700, died c1785 in Virginia.

Location Notes: Prince Edward County did not exist in 1705. A merged profile had birth in "Prince, King and Queen".[5]

Prince Edward County was formed from Amelia County in 1753. Amelia County was formed in 1734 from Brunswick and Prince George Counties. Brunswick County was formed from Prince George County in 1720; Prince George County was formed from Charles City County in 1702.[7]
King and Queen County was formed in 1691 from New Kent County.[7]

  5. 5.0 5.1 Merged profile had birth in "Prince, King and Queen". While this is offered as a location from the FamilySearch database (the source of the dropdown location options), a city or parish named Prince in 1700/1705 was not found. King and Queen is a county; perhaps "Prince Edward" - also a county - was meant, not just "Prince", or perhaps Prince George? See Location Notes in the Research Notes section, above.

However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Daniel:

Lewallen-287 and Llewellyn-619 do not represent the same person because: These are not the same men. The one b. 1705 may be more correct. Prince Edward County VA did not exist until after 1756 when it was created. I believe these are two different Llewellyn families. I've chased, with Mike Carter Daniel Llewelyn d. 1664 and Daniel Llewellyn d. 1712, due to James Crews marriage to Margaret Llewelyn, prior to his hanging in 1676, though Margaret was most likely deceased along with what children they may have had prior to James Crews making out his will leaving the bulk of his estate to Giles Carter, later overturned by a niece in England, but Giles Carter and wife Hanna____, retained some 50 acres and assume the daughters of Giles Carter and Hanna--- and Hanna's son as it was stated, Theodorick, retained some of the estate, perhaps in a settlement, but that document, along with 98% of records of the Court at Varina, Henrico County, Virginia are long gone.
