  • If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
  • Unfortunately, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these situations.

Please drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

I have been interested in my family history for over 20 years. In that time research has evolved from tedious library sessions bent over microfiche readers to having access to a wealth of resources on the Internet.

My real interest is not so much in the "who is related to whom" part of genealogy, but rather discovering the history of ancestors and their times. Living in Australia and having a convict background affords me the luxury of having a very mixed and interesting bunch of ancestors to spend my research time on.

I applaud what wikitree is trying to achieve, and the professional way in which it is being done. I would be happy to be a contributor to the community and help where ever I can.
