George Ambrose Lloyd, 1st Baron Lloyd was born on 19 September 1879 at Oliton Hall, Solihull, Warwickshire, England. He was the son of Sampson Samuel Lloyd and Jane Emilia Lloyd. He married Hon. Blanche Isabella Lascelles, daughter of Commander Hon. Frederick Canning Lascelles and Frederica Maria Liddell, on 13 November 1911 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England. He died on 4 February 1941 at age 61. Education Eton, Trinity Cambridge Lord, PC, GCSI, DSO. He gained the title of 1st Baron Lloyd. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) He wrote the book The Great Opportunity, published circa 1919 (ASIN: 1115525220). He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.) He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.)
