Biography

On 29 Jun 1855 at the time of the 1855 US Census, head of household John Loid (age 42, born in England) was employed as a Farmer and living in a house made of Frame on land he owned in Mina, Chautauqua, NY with his wife Mary Loid (age 35, born in PA), their son James Loid (age 15, born in Chautauqua), son John Loid (age 14), daughter Rhoda Loid (age 12), son Ephraim Loid (age 11, born in Chautauqua), daughter Mary Loid (age 8, born in Chautauqua) and daughter Caroline Loid (age 1, born in Chautauqua). John Loid was a naturalized citizen. [1]

At the time of the 1865 New York Census, head of household John Lloyd (age 53, born in England) was employed as a Farmer and living in a brick house he owned valued at $1,400 at 102 Barcelona in Westfield, New York with his wife, Mary Lloyd (age 43, born in PA) and daughter Caroline Lloyd (age 11). Mary had given birth to eight children at that time. [2]

At the time of the 1870 US Census, head of household John Lloyd (age 54, born in England) was employed as a Farmer and living on real estate valued at $3,000 with personal estate valued at $300 in Westfield, New York with his wife, Mary Lloyd (age 47, born in PA) and daughter Caroline Lloyd (age 17). [3]

Adoption: 1875 ag 3 Chas Alford grandson (1865 census).

Buried Westfield Cemetery, Westfield, NY.
