Biography

Robert was born about 1500. He was married to Margaret, daughter of Reignallt ap David ap Gruffudd ap Maredydd of Careg Hwfa, ap Ednyfed Gam of Llys Pengwern in Nanheudwy.^[1]

"Robert Lloyd died some years prior to 1591, at a great age. Although his half-brother, Howel Vaughan, was living in 1568, there is every reason to doubt that Robert lived even to that year. He married Mary, daughter of Reynold ap Griffith of Upper Branas."^[2]

Robert-Llwyd, of Gwerny Brechtwyn, who married Mary,, daughter of Reinaullt, of Branas Uchaf, and had, Thomas Robert-Llwyd, 1520-1612, of Nant y Friar,, or Nanfreur, in Penllyn, Merioneth, buried in the parish church of Llandderfel, 21 May 1612.^[3]
