Biography

Giovanni Battista lo Curto is a Corleone native resident, the son of Maestro Andrea lo Curto and Francesca, whose surname is not yet known. I estimate he is born around 1661, twenty years before he marries.

Giovanni Battista marries Brigitta, widow of Antonino Paternostro, on 5 November 1681.[1]

Giovanni Battista and Brigitta have at least five children: Andrea (c. 1692), Antonina (c. 1694), Giovanna (c. 1696), Anna Maria (c. 1697), and Giuseppe (c. 1699).

Andrea, named after his paternal grandfather, is ordained in the priesthood on 30 April 1712. Giovanni Battista has died by this time.[2]

Giovanna marries Maestro Giovanni Governali on 10 February 1716.[3]

Anna Maria marries Maestro Vincenzo Tuscano on 16 September 1717.[4]

Maestro Giuseppe marries a widow, Anna Maria Orlando, in 1719. Brigitta is still living.[5]

Antonina marries Giovanni Maniscalco, a widower, on 21 January 1720. Brigitta has died by this time. [6]

A year later, Antonina marries Vincenzo Governali, Maestro Giovanni's brother, on 20 January 1721.[7] This record does not mention her previous marriage.

In order to merge these, the spellings need to be determined; also provide vitals for wife [Birgitta] & child [Antonia]. When resolved, merge can be completed.

La Curto-4 and Lo Curto-4 appear to represent the same person because: Joanne is the Latin form of Giovanni. La_Curto-4's daughter, Antonina's marriage record names her parents, whose names are a match for Lo_Curto-4 and his wife. The Lo_Curto-4 profile has references you can check; kindly do the same for La_Curto-4 so we can compare data.

La Curto-4 and Lo Curto-4 do not represent the same person because: These look nothing alike.

La Curto-4 and Lo Curto-4 appear to represent the same person because: I set these two profiles as a rejected match in error. Please consider merging them.

La Curto and Lo Curto are both men married to a woman named Brigitta. "Joanne" is the Latin form of "Giovanni."

La Curto-4 and Lo Curto-4 appear to represent the same person because: I'm a direct descendant of Giovanni Battista Lo Curto and his wife, Brigitta. I've found the marriage record for their daughter, Antonina, to one of your Maniscalco ancestors. I'm confident this is a match.
