Calogero lo Iacono, a merchant, the son of Vincenzo lo Iacono and Filippa Moscato, is born on 19 January 1857 in his parents' home on via Santa Maria in Corleone.
He marries Leoluchina di Miceli, age 26, daughter of Mariano di Miceli and Lucia Todaro, on 29 October 1884. The witnesses are Domenico Moscato, 34 (b. 1850), merchant, and Stefano Ridulfo, 24 (b. 1860), a bricklayer. His father has passed and his mother is still living.
The witnesses to the Church marriage are Maestro Luigi Ala and Bernardo Trumbatore.
Calogero and his brother, Antonino, are named among known gabelloti and members of the Corleonesi mafia in 1916.
