Mary Ann was born about 1828 (estimate, assuming age 21 when she was married). Her father was John Lock.
She married Charles Childs on 19 April 1849 in Melbury Osmond. [1]
However, Mary Ann died only a few months later; she was buried on 28 January 1850 in Melbury Osmond. [2] There is no evidence that they had any children.
There was a Mary Ann Lock, daughter of John and Grace Lock, who was christened on 19 May 1824 in Long Burton, Dorset. [3]
On the other hand, there was a Mary Ann Lock, daughter of John Lock, who was married on 14 May 1849 in Dorchester, Dorset. This Mary Ann could have been the daughter of John and Grace. [4]
There are other Mary Ann Locks, daughters of John Lock, born at approximately the right time: 1830 in Barnstaple, Devon; 1828 in Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire; 1828 in Goudhurst, Kent; 1826 in Woolwich, Kent; 1824 in Exeter, Devon ... there is currently no way to identify the correct one.
