Clara Belle Lockhart was born on February 23, 1875[1] in Perth, Victoria, New Brunswick[2] She was the daughter of David Lockhart and Annie Emma Morris. She grew up in Moncton, New Brunswick.[3][4]

Clara married Robert Sharpe on April 15, 1896 in Westmorland County.[5] They had four children, two of whom died in childhood. The family lived in Moncton.[6] Clara died at the age 31, and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery in Moncton, NB on September 12, 1906.[7]
