William Mitchell Lockhart was born in Russell Co., Va. on 13 Jul 1835. He was the son of James Lockhart & Mildred Colley. About 1866 he married Elzena Speer the daughter of Barzella Speer & Susan Woodruff. Elzena was born 1844. William Lockhart died 01 May 1910 and Elzena in 1928. Both are buried in the Lockhart Chapel Cemetery. ^[1]
