Daniel married Mary Ann "Polly" Ward in Tazewell, Tazewell, Virginia. July 8 1805.

They had seven children. Emanuel, Andrew Jacob, Jane Lockhart Rogers, Nancy Duff Lockhart, David Ward Lockhart, Julia Ann Phipps, Lucinda Lockhart Standiford.

Daniel's occupation was farmer, as shown on the 1850 & 1860 US Census records.

He married Charity Brashear in Lee, Virginia. 3 March 1831. They had seven Children. Vashti, Martha , Elvira, Emaline, Burthena L. James B.,Molly,Mary Polly.
