Thomas Lockhart was born 12 Aug 1820, and christened on 16 Aug 1820 in Dumbarton, Scotland. He was the son of James Jeffrey Lockhart and Elizabeth (Ogilvie) Lockhart.
The family moved to Warrington, Lancashire around 1825.
Thomas married Sarah Clare on 5 Jan 1842 at St Paul's Church in Warrington, by license. Both were of full age (21 or more) and neither had been married before. Thomas was a glass manufacturer. Sarah was living in Golborne Street. Their fathers were named as James Lockhart (glass manufacturer) and Thomas Clare (iron monger). The witnesses were John Lockhart and Mary Clare.
Thomas died in 1865 in St Helens, with a stated age of 43. His death was registered in the second quarter of 1865, in Prescot district. He was buried on 5 Apr 1865 at St Thomas' Church in Eccleston, St Helens (Anglican). His address was given as Eccleston.
