Isaac was the son of Jabesh and Martha Lockwood.[1] He was born in say 1773 (estimate based on date of marriage).[1]
Isaac was received on request at the Oblong Monthly Meeting on 14d 7m 1794 [15 Jul 1794].[2]
He was received on certificate at Purchase on 9d 6m 1796 [9 Jun 1796].[3] He was granted a certificate to the Amawalk Monthly Meeting on 12d 4m 1798 [12 Apr 1798].[4]
At Amawalk, he married Phebe Walters, daughter of Anthony and Ruth Walters.[1] The date of their wedding was 19d 12m 1798.[1]
In 1819, the family was granted a certificate from the Chappaqua Monthly Meeting to the Licking Creek Monthly Meeting in Indiana.[5] The family included Isaac, Phebe and their children Ruth, Stephen, James, John, Isaac, Edward, and Anthony. Phebe and one child died on the way to Indiana.[5]
