  • Note: He migrated from Klein Mausdorf, Prussia to the Chortitza Colony, S. Russia between 1789 and 1795 (B. H. Unruh, p. 276). In the 1795 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Insel Chortitza #14 with his brother Simon (B. H. Unruh, p. 239). In the 1797 Census he is listed in Chortitza (P. Rempel, p. 7). In the 1801 Census he is listed at Chortitza #29. He moved to Burwalde #20 in 1803, but his first name is incorrectly given as Daniel in the 1803 Chortitza Colony Heads of Household List (B. H. Unruh, p. 213). In the 1808 and Oct 1816 Censuses he is listed at Burwalde #21 (B. H. Unruh, p. 276). One source says he died 17 Sep 1863. In the Oct 1816 Census his age is given as 41, which is apparently incorrect.
