James was born in 1858. He was the son of Hugh Logan and Mary Morrison. He passed away in 1939.

Jas. Edward Logan, Hohenlinden Leader, Buried in Woodland

Funeral services for James Edward Logan, of Hohenlinden, brother of Mrs. A M Harley, of Houston, were held in Woodland Monday afternoon following his death Saturday at the home of his son, C L Logan, in Eupora. Long a prominent planter in this section, he was 81 years of age.

Officiating was the Rev. W C Stewart. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.

Born in 1858, Mr. Logan was the son of Hugh and Mary Morrison Logan. He was married in 1882 to Miss Yancy Crawford, daughter of N B and Jane Harley Crawford.

After the death of his wife in 1925 he lived with his son, C H Logan, of Hohenlinden.

Mr. Logan engaged in farming and was long a leader in his community. He was known as a man of high ideals and Christian character and merited the respect of his fellow citizens. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Besides Mrs. Harley and his two sons, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J R Stevens, of Mathiston; Mrs. J E Carr, of Ackerman; and Mrs. W S Slaughter, of Jonestown; a brother, Hugh, of Kernes, Texas; and two other sisters, Mrs. C C Cross, of Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. S E Brownlee, of Starke, Fla.
