Mr Jack Logan.

A former resident of Grenfell in the person of Mr. Jack Logan died at Fairlight Hospital, Manly, on Friday morning, at the age of 80 years. Deceased, in the early days of Grenfell, was a noted runner, and won a Carrington Handicap in Sydney, then the richest foot race in the State. He later, became interested in racing, and was one of Australia's best known turf commissioners. He was a member of Tattersall's Club since 1895. Two brothers survive - Patrick and Mick. He was predeceased by two brothers (Messrs. William and Matthew) and three sisters (Mesdames George Anderson, Gillespie and Marshall). One son, Wiiiiam, and two daughters (Mrs. T. Leggo and Miss Ada Logan) survive. One son Horace was kiled during the war. His wife predeceased him five years ago.
