Biography

Barbara Ann Logue Butcher was born November 27, 1923 in Chicag to Arthur and Sarah Bruce Logue. Her surviving siblings include Sarah Riddle of Springfield, Arthur Logue of Alabama David Logue of Carbondale. She was preceded in death by one brother.

She married Thomas D. Butcher on February 8, 1942 in Carbondale. Her children include Dan and Jim Butcher of Murphysboro, Mike Butcher of New York City, Louis Butcher of Carbondale, Terry Lynn Stuart of Dallas, TX and Ann Butcher of Murphysboro.

Mrs. Butcher was a retired worker for Nutrition Headquarters in Carbondale and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Murphysboro.

She died at the age of 62 on Thursday, June 19, 1986 in her home. A private service was held at Walker Funeral Home.
