Note: The below paragraph does not appear to apply to the person on this profile. *On the 8th of July 1759, GEORG LOHNES first shows as a sponsors of a son of ANDRUS TRUMPAUR & sponsor to JOHAN & GEORG GOTTMAN on the 26th Dec 1763 Johann George Adam was a Captain in the 8th German Regiment, and fought against the British in the American Revolution. It is not known if he then returned to Germany, or stayed in America? Johann George Adam's son, George Adam, emigrated to Philadelphia PA with Johann George Adam's brother, Johannes Nicholas (b. 1724). Nicholas brought some nephews to Philadelphia in 1753 on the ship "Two Brothers". It is not known for sure how many nephews came with Nicholas to America." [2] [3]
