Biography

Barbara was born about 1806 in Pennsylvania.[1][2] She was the daughter of Frederick Lohr and Catharine Shaffer.[3]

She married Casper Young[4][1] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Sally Young was born 10 Oct 1825 and was christened on 25 Dec 1825 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[5]
  2. Jacob Young was born 14 Dec 1827 and was christened on 15 Jun 1828 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[6]
  3. Susanna Young was born 13 Feb 1832 and was christened on 08 Jul 1832 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[7]
  4. Mary Young was born 20 Jul 1833 and was christened on 08 Sep 1833 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[8]
  5. Isaac Young was born 26 Jan 1835 and was christened on 19 Apr 1835 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[9]
  6. Josiah Young was born about 1837 in Pennsylvania.[1]
  7. Elizabeth Young was born 03 Feb 1839 and was christened on 19 May 1839 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[10][1]
  8. Jonathan Young was born about 1843 in Pennsylvania.[1]
  9. James Young was born 08 Dec 1846 and was christened on 07 Feb 1847 at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stoyestown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[11][1]

Barbara passed away in 1881 aged 77 years, 3 months, and 15 days.[12] She is buried in Crum-Oldham Cemetery, Shade Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.[4]
