At his residence in Grey Street, Auckland, Mr. Samuel Lomas, formerly of Derby, England, in the 60th year of his age. The funeral will leave the house of his son-in-law Mr. S. Hague Smith at 3 o’clock this day (Saturday). Friends will please accept this invitation.
Samuel Lomas was buried with his wife Hannah in the Weslyan section of Symonds Street Cemetery, Auckland.
Hannah Lomas died in Auckland on the 26th July 1868 in her 60th year.
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Samuel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
