John and Ann married when he was 29 and she was 20 (4 ya; m. 1926). He was born in Indiana of Italian parents. She was born in Ohio of Italian parents. Dorothy was born in Ohio. John is a fruit dealer working on commission, on his own account.[1]
Dorothy's mother dies in 1935 at age 29.[2]
Her father, John, remarries to Angeline Rose Vicario, whose father, Tony Vicario, is a Black Hand extortionist associated with the Society of the Banana. Tony, his brother, and seventeen others, mostly Sicilian fruit merchants, were found guilty of extorting John Amicon following a postal investigation in 1909.
