Walter London was born in Great Bricett, Suffolk, England.

Walter was born in 1846 and baptised at Great Bricett on 24 December 1848. He was the son of Joshua Francis London and Elizabeth Kezia Prentice.^[1][2]

He married Elizabeth Martal in 1868.^[3]
