Biography

Hester Long of Roundwood, co Wicklow. [1]

Hester Long was married to Joseph Holt, one of the leaders of the 1798 Irish Rebellion[2]. He was exiled to New South Wales as a convict travelling on the Minerva. Her presence on board the Minerva is recorded in his memoirs.[3]
