Biography

Sarah (Long) Price was the first wife of Samuel C. Price. She was born in Washington County, Maryland on May 4, 1827, and died after the birth of Martha J. on August 24, 1862. Sarah and Samuel had six children, two of whom, Emma C. and Vernie M. were deceased before 1878. The remaining four were: Elizabeth L., born August 19, 1849; Mary E., Sept. 12, 1851; Clinton E., Nov. 29, 1854, and Martha J., August 24, 1862.
