Biography

Martha Long was born in July 1779 or in 1780. She was the daughter of Israel Long.

Sterling Carmichael married Martha Long May 12, 1801, in Stokes County, North Carolina, USA.[1]

Martha died in 1864. She was buried in Carmichael Cemetery in Greene County, Indiana, USA.[2]

Mentioned in the 1864 annual minutes of the Hebron Church

My family records indicate a brother named Tobias Long who went to Indiana and a brother named Reuben Long, dead in NC by 1821 (his son named in Israel Long's will.
