Obituary

Obituary: Mrs. Frank Thomas The funeral of Mrs. Frank Thomas was held Friday afternoon at the M.E. church conducted by Rev. Samuel Mosher, assisted by Rev. O.L. Williams. Burial was made in Bethel cemetery.

Stella Agnes Long, daughter of Robert W. and Sarah J. Long, was born December 22, 1869, near Cardington, on the farm which is still the family home. After a brief but severe illness, quietly and peacefully her spirit took its flight in the early morning hours of January 9, 1924. She was aged 54 years and 17 days.

On September 21, 1893, she was united in marriage to Frank Thomas, and to them were born one daughter and four sons, Mrs. Arthur Lee of near Edison, Robert of Mansfield, Alva of Westfield, Indiana, Gerald and Harry at home, all of whom with her husband survive her. She also leaves five grandchildren, one having preceded her in death; an aged mother, two sisters, four brothers. and many other relatives and friends, who mourn the loss of a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

She was a member of the Bethel M.E. church and of the daughters of Veterans. Quiet and unassuming her kindness and sympathy are best known to those who were most intimate with her. Frail in body, but with untiring ambition, she was faithful and devoted to her home and family, and was especially thoughtful of her mother by whom she will be greatly missed. Although she has passed from our midst, yet the memory of her sweet and gentle spirit will always remain with us like a benediction.
