Franklin Richard Long was born in 1902 near Ringwood, Oklahoma. He was the son of Alvin Long and Phoebe Morris.. Frank worked in the oil fields with his brother-in-law Scott Marvin. Frank was a real ladies man, and he always kept several engagement rings around. Frank was married to Laura Camp in 1928, and they had a son together. They divorced and Laura remarried, but Frank remained single the rest of his life. Frank was very well read in Bible, and he loved to travel. He passed away due to a fall on some stairs where he was living. He was 76 at the time, and he was in fairly good health. He was a sweet man and greatly loved by his sisters. He is buried in Riverside, California.

Frank spent some of his last holiday dinners at my home in Yorba Linda, CA. The family stories were that Frank loved the ladies and a bottle of wine, He was a sweet man and a faithful Bible reader.
