Biography
When Carrie Long was born on July 22, 1867, in South Carolina, her father, George, was 29, and her mother, Nancy, was 22. She married Charles 'Charlie' Wingard Smith in 1888. They had six children during their marriage. Charley died in 1947[1] and Carrie died on April 6, 1947, in Saluda, South Carolina,[2] at the age of 79, and was buried in Richland, South Carolina.[3]
