Biography
Elizabeth J. Long was born on 20 June 1830 in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Long and Jane (Robinson) Long. Around 1843 Elizabeth married Edward (Edmond) Shobert there in Jefferson County. Between 1850 and 1874 Elizabeth gave birth to their 13 children. The 1860 census[1] shows Elizabeth raising her family in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.
