She married Kemper Asbury Hunter 19 May 1918 at the home of her parents in Old Richmond Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina. He is the son of Alvis Albert Hunter and Mary Jalina Masencup. Myrtle was 20-years-old and Kemper was 21-years old as recorded on their marriage certificate. M.G. Austin, Dr. S.U. Long and Alma Doub all of Tobaccoville, North Carolina were witnesses to their marriage by G. H. Austin, a Methodist Minister. She was a resident of Tobaccoville, North Carolina. They had three children.
Myrtle is recorded in the 1920 United States Federal Census, enumerated 17-18 February, as Myrtle E. Hunter residing with her husband, Kemper A. Hunter, in the household of her parents, Sylvanus N. and Etta J. Long, on a farm on Bethania Road in Vienna Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina. She is 21 years old, no occupation is entered for her. Also residing in the household are her siblings, Walter D., Beulah M., Bessie U., Sallie L, and Paul M.
Daughter Mary Etta/Maretta Mozelle Hunter was born 4 June 1925 at Forsyth County, North Carolina.
Myrtle is recorded in the 1930 United States Federal Census, enumerated 15 April, as Myrtle E. Hunter residing in the household of her husband, Kemper A. Hunter, in Old Richmond Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina. She is 32 years old, no occupation is entered for her. Also residing in the household are her sons nine year old son Kemper W. Jr. and one year old Bobbie G. and four year old daughter Mozelle M.
In 1935 Myrtle and Kemper were residing on Elkin Highway Tobaccoville Route 1 in Old Richmond Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina. Son Kemper W. and daughter Mozelle were also residing in the household.
Myrtle is recorded in the 1940 United States Federal Census, enumerated 4 April, as Eulala Hunter residing in the household of her husband, Kemper A. Hunter. They own their home valued at $80.00 on Elkin Highway Tobaccoville Route 1 in Old Richmond Township, Forsyth County, North Carolina. She is 42 years old, has completed the [illegible] grade, she is engaged in housework in the home. Also residing in the houehold are her son 19 year old Kemper W. and daughters 14 year old Mozelle and 11 year old Bobbie Jean.
Myrtle was 77 years of age when she died 22 October 1975 at Forsyth County, North Carolina and is buried in Elm Grove Methodist Church Cemetery in Pfafftown, Forsyth County, North Carolina.
