The Late Mrs. Sarah Baker Served in Army Hospitals in Civil War[1]
Mrs. Sarah E. Baker, who died a few days ago at her home in Arlington, was a nurse in the Union Army during the Civil War. She was married during the war to Frederick W. Baker in Polk County, Tenn., in October, 1862. They came to Reno County in 1873 settling on a homestead in Troy township.[2]
