When Catharine E. Long was born on 11 January 1813, in Abingdon, Washington, Virginia, United States, her father, Peter Long, was 28 and her mother, Mary Vest, was 25.[1]
She married Patton James Thompson on 18 July 1829, in Washington, Virginia, United States.[2]
They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 6 daughters.[3]
She lived in Tazewell, Tazewell, Virginia, United States in 1850 with her husband and nine (9) children and her mother.[4]
She died on 31 August 1855, in Tazewell, Virginia, United States, at the age of 42 from consumption or pulmonary tuberculosis,[5] and was buried in Burkes Garden Central Cemetery, Burkes Garden, Tazewell, Virginia, United States.[6]
