Edward 'Ed' Long was born May 9, 1888 and is the son of Thomas Long and Jane Blosser. He grew up in Spencer, West Virginia[1][2][3] along with six siblings; John W Long, Mary Ellen Long, Marion Long, Albert Long, Madison Long and Maggie Belle Long. Ed helped his parents as a laborer on the family farm. When his parents died, he went to live and work on his brother John's farm in Spencer, West Virginia.[4] Ed died February 8, 1969[5] leaving behind no children or spouse. There is no source for his place of burial at this time.
