Biography

Barbara Long, the daughter of Isaac Long and Elizabeth Zug, was born 6 March 1757. She married Daniel Miller on 4 April 1780[1] in Dauphin County, PA. Barbara and Daniel had two sons: John Miller born 1781 and Daniel Miller born 16 Jan 1784. Barbara died two weeks later on 31 Jan 1784 of complications related to the birth. Daniel, a widower with newborn and toddler son married soon after his first cousin, Anna Garber.[citation needed]

In Isaac Miller's A Brief History of the descendants of Samuel and Barbara [Sanger] Miller he states that the marriage of Daniel Miller and Barbara Long "was blessed with seven sons and two daughters." This statement is incorrect, as only the first two of Daniel Miller's children were Barbara's.
