Mary Jane Long, daughter of Andrew J Long and Katie Edwards, was born on 27 Apr 1848 in Campobello, Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Mary Jane married John Westley Melton on 9 Dec 1869 In Rutherford County, North Carolina. ^[1] They had at least the following children:
