Edward Long (barrister of Gray's Inn), of 46 Wimpole Street, London, and of Aldermaston, Berks.; Chief Judge of the Vice-Admiralty Court of Jamaica, and author of 'The History of Jamaica' and other works; b. 23 August 1734; d. 13 March 1813 and brd. at Slindon, Sussex."
