Biography

Andrew was born about 1820. He is the son of Henry Long and Rachael Anderson. [1]

An 1870 Federal Texas census shows Andrew Long, age 50 living with wife Alabama (34) (Jones) Long and their children Sarah (14), Henry (11), Rosine (9), Andrew (8), Samuel (5), Josephine (4), and Joseph (2). Andrew states he was born in Tennessee and his wife in Alabama. His birth year is estimated at 1819-1820.[2]
