Frank was born to Maurice/Morris Long and Priscilla née Louth Long on 28 Jan 1869 in Michigan. He served with Michigan in the Spanish/American War when he was in his mid 20s.
It seemed very odd that after 1920, we completely lose track of Frank, until his death in Ohio in 1958. Knowing that he is a Veteran, I read a pretty extensive record for a Frank Long living in 1919 at the "U.S., National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers" in Ohio. It says he moved there in 1919, so despite a strong gut feeling, that went on the "unproven" pile. He is in his parents' home in 1920. But upon reading every single word of the Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, I came upon the proof: name of closest relative. A very familiar after researching and sourcing this family for a few days,"Maurice Long ". So I believe that while Frank was in his parents' home for whatever reason (I'm not sure if my similar life situation as a disabled 50 year old who has mostly lived in the home of my own parents helps or hurts here, but I do always make every attempt to not see others through the lenses we tend to see other people living in other times with. I think this time, my experience helps, does not hurt, but there is that disclaimer)
Frank passed away on 17 April 1958, in Montgomery, Hamilton, Ohio, United States.
