The Fort Worth Five (The Hole in the Wall Gang)
"The Ft. Worth Five": On 19 Sept 1900 the Hole-in-the-Wall gang robbed the First National Bank in Winnemucca, Nevada. They got away with $32,640. Two months later they were all in Ft. Worth Texas enjoying the fruits of their labor. In their new fancy city clothes they decided to pose for a group picture. The photographer was so pleased with the photo, he posted it in the front window of his shop, unbeknownst to the gang. A Pinkerton man walking past the shop noticed the photo and recognized the men in it. The photo was used to make wanted posters. Note; The original photograph is now worth more money than was taken in the Winnemucca Bank robbery.
