Notes
For most of his life he used Ralph or Ralph A as his legal name; however, his family and friends knew him as 'Blackie'. He was Armando & Rosina's first child born in the Bronx (his older brother was born in Providence, RI). Ralph may have been named after his maternal Great Grandfather, Raffaele Striano; or his uncle, Raffaele Giuseppe Striano. Ralph served in the US Army for 20 years; after which, he became a salesman for local department stores. In later life he returned to college and took a job as a merchandiser.
