Louis (27) married Helen Ellen Pitre (25) (born October 21, 1841 in Windsor, Sandwich, Essex, Ontario, Canada (Assumption Church); daughter of Jean Baptiste Cyriaque (Pitre) Peters Sr. (1811–1885) and Felicite Alice (Trudel) Peters (1812–bef. 1886)) on January 8, 1867 in Ste. Anne, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Their son was John B. Longprey (abt. 1880 – unknown).
