Mary Ann Loomer was the daughter of Stephen Loomer and Hannah Chapman. Stephen Loomer and his wife were part of the New England Planter migration to Nova Scotia between June 1761, when son Stephen was born in Norwich, and March 1762, when daughter Mary Ann was born at Cornwallis Township, Kings, Nova Scotia.[1][2]
Mary Ann Loomer was baptized in Nova Scotia at the Church of England in Canada, St. John, Cornwallis Square:[3] She married Jonathan Babcock.

Mary's mother, Hannah, died on 27 June 1778, and her father, Stephen, died on 17 Oct 1790, both at Cornwallis, Nova Scotia.[5]

According to the Find A Grave record of their son, George Washington Babcock, Jonathan Babcock died in 1828. His wife, Mary (Loomer) Babcock, died in 1838.
