Another source[1] has Benjamin born about 1762 in Botetourt County, and died 1798 at Hawkins. Botetourt County was created in 1770 from part of Augusta County,

Note: Shows up in the 1840 census of Hawkins County, TN as between 60 & 70 yoa and his wife was also between 60 & 70. There were 2 other females with them. One under 5 and one between 30 & 40. The entry for this individual in the 1860 Mortality Schedule for the 1860 Hawkins County TN census indicates that he was 83 yoa when he died in November of 1859. Looney, Benjamin; 83yoa, b. VA, Nov 1859, farmer, inflammatory fever.
