Biography

Pierre Lord was born about 1682 in Port-Royale, Acadie, Nouvelle-France, son of Julien (Lord) Lord dit Lamontagne (abt. 1652–bef. 1724) and Anne Charlotte Girouard (abt. 1660–1742).

In 1686, at Port Royal, Pierre, aged 5, was living with his parents, Julien LORD, aged 33, and Charlotte [recte Anne Charlotte] GIROUARD, aged 26, and three siblings: Alexandre, age 10, Jacques, age 8 and Marie, age 1. They were all living on the farm of his grandparents, Francois Girouard, age 70 and Jeanne Aucoin, age 55.[1]

Pierre (32) married Jeanne Doucet (22) (born about 1692 in Port-Royal, Acadie; daughter of Laurent Doucet and Jeanne Babin) on 17 Jun 1715, in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia.[2][3] Their known children were:

  1. Joseph Lord (1716–1746) .
  2. Marie Josephe Lord (1718–1796) .
  3. Jean Baptiste Lord (1720–1789) .
  4. Louis Lord (1722–1781) .
  5. Ursule Lord (1725–1813) .
  6. Marguerite Lord (1728–1820) .
  7. Anne Lord (1730–1763)

Pierre Lore, widower of the late Jeanne Doucet, died 17 January 1738, in Port Royal at the estimated age of 55 and was buried there the next day. Witnesses were Jacques Lore, Charles Lore, Paul Doucet, Joseph Doucet and François Robichaux.[4]
