Birth and Upbringing: Charles was born in 1950
Education: He was educated at Michaelhouse School, Natal
Occupation: Soldier – Rhodesian Army: Service No. 6250
Demise: Killed in action on 19 September 1974 while serving as a Lance Corporal with Support Group, 1st Battalion, Rhodesian Light Infantry at Kandeya TTL, Rhodesia (Operation Hurricane)[1] He died from gunshot wounds in a contact, aged 24 years.
Burial: Charles Lord was buried with full military honours [2]
