Biography
Farmer.
From the Lord family genealogy by my great grandfather Isaac Purl Lord (1858-1942), who was Ammi's grandson:
"Ammi was a very large man with light wavy hair and blue eyes. Enlarged copies of a picture of him taken at the age of 85 years show a rugged countenance with strong character. He was a wonderful scholar. He never misspelled a word nor mispronounced a word, nor made a grammatical error.
"He tutored his children and it was through his efforts that William Woodbury Lord became a school principal."
